Assignment for Thursday Feb. 7/08

Hello Hoot Group,

Well it has been awhile since our last post because of the cold weather and now we have no school this coming Monday. For this week I would like you to make sure you have read up to chapter 10. Please tell us about your favourite part of these last few chapters? Also if you have seen the movie please remind me. If you have seen the movie does the book seem similar to the movie or are their a lot of differences? If you have not watched the movie, don't worry because we will rent it when we have all finished reading!

For Thursday I would like for you girls to read up to chapter 5. Please do a short retelling of what you've read here in these chapters. Also pick out a few new vocab words to share with the group to see if you can stump them on their meaning.

Dear Ella Girls,

Book Covers

The old saying is that "you can't judge a book by its cover." Thinking about this, which of the two books would you rather read (Yes, I know they are the same book)? Which would you be more likely to pick up, the one with the cover that we are reading now, or the older more classic looking cover? Let me know your thoughts on this one girls...
